Daecheon Beach boasts a rich history,
having been developed as a resort for foreigners as far back as the 1990s.

Consequently, the beach features well-developed facilities, including a wide array of food, sights, and entertainment, as well as various convenience amenities for vacationers. Furthermore, thanks to continuous development plans since the implementation of local autonomy, modern convenience facilities such as the West Coast's only condominium and amusement facilities are being introduced one after another.

Daecheon Beach is also pursuing a leisure culture that transcends mere relaxation to offer a variety of life experiences.
During the peak summer season, it hosts over 20 diverse events, including the Beach Song Festival. The creation of Korea's first seaside sculpture park and the Artist, Accord, and Abeloes thoroughfares satisfies the cultural desires of travelers, leading to an increase in both domestic and international tourists.
Moreover, the beach is accelerating the development of its unique characteristics, holding the annual Mud Festival utilizing Boryeong's natural mud, which is recognized globally for its excellence.

In the past, tourist visits were heavily concentrated in the summer, but the beach is now overcoming this seasonal limitation and transforming into a year-round weekend destination.
Therefore, our association is also working to expand the convenience facility infrastructure and develop new attractions within the beach area to offer greater convenience and diverse experiences to the steadily increasing number of tourists.

We will not stop here and will continue our efforts to provide tourists with even more sights and entertainment, ensuring that the reputation of being the best tourist destination on the West Coast remains untarnished.
